it is confusing to play both sides

i tend to be a little too dramatic when i speak in english
while i tend to be a little too undramatic when i speak in korean

but i should really stop comparing
because i admit
"it's impossible to be neutral on a moving train"

so i continue to play both sides
thinking only in english while i speak in english, and
thinking only in korean while i speak in korean

이제 몇달간 못 볼 광경이겠지.

끊임없이 출렁대는

진부하고도 무미건조한 파도를

넋놓고 바라보았다.

바람에 등 떠밀려

검은색 곰보바위에 몸을

부딪혀보지만 파도는

매번 맥없이 으스러지고 만다.

능청맞게 출렁임을 멈추지 않고

능글지게 찰싹대는 걸 보며

지칠줄 모르는 파도의 집념에 매료되고 말았다.
