은신처에서 흐르는 노래 공연

4월부터 11월 까지
7개월 동안 6명이
따로 또 같이 만나
작업한 내용을
50분에 담는 다는 건
손짓(다큐)
발짓(시)
몸짓(음악)을 다 합쳐놓아도
애초부터 모자란 일 이었을지도 모른다
내가 전하고자 하는 게
무엇인지 모른 채
시작한 여정
예술의 힘을 믿는 사람들과
함께 한 특별한 시간
내가 그들로부터 배운 것은
대면
여전히 예술에 대해 나는
불안함을 느끼고
‘사회적’ 현실에
예술가로서 산다는 것에
박탈감을 느끼며
자아도취라는 붓의 끝으로 그린
소심하고도 지리멸렬한 자화상에
스스로 기겁하고
그럼에도 얼마 지나지 않아
유일한 안식을 취하러
도로 기어들어가는 예술이라는
구멍은
늘 내게는 남들에게
설명해내야 하는
불안한 나의 치부와 같으면서도
독백으로 침묵을 대신할 수 없음에
이미 길어진 목을 더 길게
늘어뜨리고
주위를 둘러보며 오고가는 시선들에
눈을 떨궜다가
또 치켜들었다가
그 와중에 눈꺼풀에 걸린 건
20년 전 드라마 겨울동화에서처럼
눈물, 콧물 질질 흘리며
과장되게 작별을 고했었던
은실로 만들어진 나의 은피리
되찾고 나니
겨드랑이에 접힌 주름이 펴지며
척추를 치켜세우고
가슴이 앞으로 내밀어지는
묘한 기쁨을 맛보았는데
햇빛에 반사되는 은의 자태에
넋을 잃었다가도 밤이 오면
다시 아무것도 모르겠는
검은색과 검은색 간의 대화
나는 그럼으로 다시
달팽이 껍질의 외면보다
내면이 더 친숙해
그 안의 적막에 다시 나를 내맡기고 마는
내가 나를 품는 시간이 필요하다는
변명으로 확장과 화장을 동시에 해대며
분칠을 하고 껍질에서 기어 나오니
우연히 마주친 사람들
햇빛에 달궈진 채 팽창된 내 껍질 안에
각자가 넣어준 이야기들
덕분에 생긴 틈새
그리고 그 틈새들이 만들어낸 공연
